SLIDING SCALE OVERVIEW
Our sliding scale goes from $550 - $950. Our CSA’s market price is $750. The price that covers our material and labor expenses is $750. We offer 3 sliding-scale tiers with guidance to help you identify what amount is appropriate to contribute. Higher tiers come with add-ons and booth discounts as our way of saying thank you!
The Investors Share
Suggested amount $950 Intended for those who want to pay full market value for the share and support share access for others.
Guidance: This tier contribution is about supporting Denver urban agriculture at its true market value AND meaningfully investing in our farms programs to provide broader access to the community. This investment creates greater access to food and education programs offered by Lost Greens Farm, fully supports farm labor costs, material costs, farm infrastructure investments, and program development.
Intended for ppl who might have:
- comfortable levels of discretionary income
- salaried work
- strong savings
- ownership of their home
- retirement accounts
- access to healthcare
- rental properties
- inherited access to capital
- stock options, portfolios, or other forms of capital investments
This tier is Inspired by ongoing support from members Nancy G., Jon M. and Melissa G. who have supported Lost Greens’ creation through various contributions of tools, loans, land, consultation, construction, labor, and ongoing faith in the project. And a deep thanks to Nancy G., who has generously hosted Lost Greens on her land since 2021.
The Founders Share
Suggested amount $750 Intended for those who are able to pay the market value for the share and want to directly support the farm through the CSA program.
Guidance: This tier contribution is about supporting Denver urban agriculture at its true market value. This level of contribution fully supports our farm labor, expenses and material costs for growing and providing our members with shares. At the highest level of contribution, this tier also supports program access for others.
Intended for ppl who might have:
- comfortable levels of discretionary income
- salaried work
- savings
- retirement accounts
- access to healthcare
This tier is inspired by our long time CSA members, dedicated farm booth regulars, and work trade members who support our farm week after week, year after year with their patronage and volunteer commitments. Their ongoing support has made all the difference as we’ve grown this fledgling farm project into a rooted community farm operation.
The Poets Share
Suggested amount $550 Intended for the working-class artists, students, trans folks and queer folks of our community, as well as those who would like to be a part of our share and farm community, but are unable to pay market value for financial reasons.
Guidance: This level of contribution covers some material costs for the share. Lost Greens covers the rest. This tier is open to working-class ppl, artists, students, trans folks, and generally those who would like to be a part of our share, but are unable to pay market value for self-identified reasons. We encourage you to pay at this level if paying market value would prevent you from accessing our share program*.
POETS SHARE
Intended for ppl who might have:
- uncompensated labor in organizing/creating/sustaining community access to food, education, art&poetry, mutual-aid, safe spaces, housing, restorative justice, and other like-minded efforts
- limited income for children or other dependents
- limited fixed income (social security, disability)
- student status without meaningful family support or inherited capital
- medical expenses not covered by insurance
- a racial identity, gender identity, or immigration status impacting access to capital
- underemployment, underpaid or minimum wage work
Inspired by the many scrappy queers, poets, and punks who have supported Lost Greens with love, labor, and faith in our project since 2020. We remain dedicated to providing access to affordable local agriculture and produce within our community and invite you to join us as we continue to grow into a thriving urban farm.
